Add a classic, handcrafted touch to your shops Christmas bauble display with our assorted packs of 12 traditional hand-painted papier-mâché lantern baubles. These decorations are perfect to display on Christmas trees or as eye-catching standalone decorations for tabletop displays and window arrangements.
Each bauble is carefully made from recycled materials and hand-painted by skilled artisans, ensuring no two are exactly alike. These slight differences in shape and design highlight their unique, handmade charm, making them a special find for customers seeking an authentic and ethical alternative this Christmas.
The decorations are made by a fair trade group based in Kashmir. The paper to make the decorations comes from old newspapers and books that are collected and recycled into paper pulp that is moulded into shape. They are then hand painted by highly skilled artisans continuing a tradition first introduced to the region in the 14th century.
The artisans are members of the World Fair Trade organisation and through buying these decorations you are directly supporting Kashmiri craftspeople and their families, keeping alive a traditional craft and providing much needed work as well as hope and support for artisans in a region that has faced decades of political unrest.
